Good luck to the class of 2009 - Hello class of 2010!

Another school year is over and we're all geared up for our next season of senior portraits. Class of 2010 is now a reality!!

We have a bunch of new product lines in our repetoire for this new group. Our Designer Series book line has been expanded to include full metallic papers. You've loved the look of metallic in photos and our card assortments, just imagine what this will look like in an 11x14 hard cover Designer Series book!

We've also added a new wall art print, our Metallic blend prints. These are custom designed unique pieces of art, printed with the bold look of Metallic.

Many new collage designs and sizes, for story telling wall portraits.

Wallets in our Designer Series are two sided with graphics and text options available. Paper options include Linen, Watercolor, gloss stock, and Metallics.

The lovely Chelsea

We've added a new Spokesmodel to our program. Chelsea from Maple Grove has joined our team. Chelsea is a natural beauty and is very comfortable in front of the camera as I'm sure you can tell. Her long lines make her a great model to work with. Thanks Chelsea.

Drew the lonesome Cowboy

We worked with 6 year old Drew for some classic cowboy shots, with a little of my artistic twist to them.

Peter Kelly

Peter joined us for two days of shooting for his senior portrait session. Peter is the second in the Kelly family to have Richard DeCamp create unique graduation portraits. Peter is an outstanding baseball player and captain for the Wayzata Varsity Baseball team.

Ben Gustafson

Ben visited to have his senior portraits taken. Ben is another one of our returning familes, the third in his family to have senior portraits created at Richard DeCamp photography. Ben is a part of the jumping squad on the Wayzata Track team.

Senior Portraits class 2008

We started off our new season of graduation portraits with Taylor Boegel. Taylor is the third in the family to have his senior portraits done at Richard DeCamp Photography. Taylor is a captain for the upcoming season for the Wayzata Varsity Football team. We created some unique images for Taylor to show his committment to the Wayzata Football program.

Everyone is doing it. . . or are they? Trying to conserve or at least be conscious of the daily impact they have on the environment. Are we trying to get on the bandwagon?

The main reason we decided to only send two mailings has to do with the 200 plus mailing s we received last year when our daughter was a senior. We could wallpaper our entire house with the number of brochures and postcards we received. One studio sent no less then 12 cmailings. While we found it interesting to compare our work with others, it became obvious that it was truly a waste of paper on a grand scale. I actually asked one company to take her name off their list. Mulitiply the number of mailings you receive by the number of seniors in your class by the number of schools in your area. You get the idea.

While we think our photography sells itself, we aren't willing to push it on you over and over again. It really is time for a change. We appreciate the fact that you took the time to visit our website and view our images and philosophy. Please pick your photographer based on quality, reputation and your comfort price point. We hope you find that is us.

A session with Sky

Spent the morning with Sky an 18 month old little guy. His mom was here to have us create our "lifestyles portrait" session for him. We played in the studio and even headed outside. Young Sky was a trooper outdoors on a cool morning.

NEW!! - Coffee table books - any theme

The newest addition to our product line is very exciting. I've wanted to be able to create my own Coffee table style books for my clients, but have had trouble finding a quality product. Finally we have secured a printer that can meet our high quality standards in single runs of printing. These finely crafted books our designed by our studio then fabricated by our lab. They can be used for any portrait, here we show a "baby's first year" edition.
